Looking great at night at the Flatiron Building is Christina Lihan's installation Constructing Manhattan - from the Razors Edge. NYC landmarks made from cut paper. It is a great location for the installation! Standing on the corner of 5th Ave and 23rd St. you can look north and see the Empire State building and looking south you can view Lihan's lavish recreation of the ESB in cut paper among other famous buildings. The installation was curated by Cheryl McGinnis of Cheryl McGinnis Gallery. I came across the installation a few weeks ago when I was picking up a sculpture stand from Porter Contemporary. There is a photo of the sculpture stand in front of the installation. It is filled with two bottles of wine also from Porter Contemporary.
If you are in the neighborhood for New Years Eve check it out! The installation will be up through January 16th.
