Tired of the winter like weather? Soak in some Mediterranean warmth at Regina Saura’s show at Campton Gallery in Soho.  Saura’s, paintings are full of Mediterranean light, color and warmth.  Her installation of paintings, in a series called Through the Forest, literally fills the gallery. The large paintings, placed side-by-side, give the feeling of walking into a forest on a warm sunny day. The Catalonian artist explains “Moving my studio a few years ago from a loft in the center of a small village to a rural environment surrounded by forest has had an unexpected visual and sensory impact on me.”  The sensory impact on the artist is clearly translated to the paintings. The experience will hopefully make you feel the inevitability of imminently warmer weather.

Saura is represented by Campton Gallery in NY and by Mercedes Durban’s Aficionarte in Spain.
